I would love if my game could end on steam when its fully released. I believe that steam is one of the biggest gaming platforms out there and making it onto it would be a huge achievement.
Steam would be my target platform.
Can you create a post that shows the kind of terrain you want to create? You could use Google image search and save the images locally and then upload them to a post. It would be helpful to see the kind of terrain you are thinking of generating. Unreal has tools to create terrain--as you mention--but part of your pre-production should be showing more research.
